Services

Residential electrical work for Buffalo and Western New York, organized around what the region's houses actually need: repair of old and failing wiring, panel and service upgrades, staged rewiring of knob-and-tube and aluminum systems, inspections for buyers and insurers, standby generators for lake-effect outages, and Level 2 EV charging. Every service starts with a free on-site assessment and a written scope.

Buffalo's Old Wiring

This is the background behind most of the electrical work in Western New York: how old the houses really are, what was wired into them in each era, what the weather does to the grid, and what the state now requires and pays for. Every figure here is sourced at the bottom of the page.

Electrical Repair

Dead outlets, breakers that will not stay on, lights that flicker when the furnace starts - in a Buffalo house these are usually symptoms of something older behind the wall. We find the actual fault and fix it to current code.

Emergency Electrician

Some electrical problems cannot wait for a scheduled visit: a burning smell from the panel, an outlet that sparked and scorched, a service cable pulled loose by a falling limb. This page is about what to do and what we do when you call.

Electrical Panel Upgrade & Replacement

The panel is where a Buffalo house's age shows first: screw-in fuses, a 60-amp service, or a breaker brand that inspectors flag on sight. We replace panels and upgrade services to what a modern household and the 2023 NEC require.

House Rewiring

Knob-and-tube in the attic, cloth cable in the walls, aluminum in the 1968 addition - Buffalo homes carry every generation of wiring at once. We replace it in a planned sequence that keeps the house livable and the plaster mostly intact.

Electrical Inspection

Buying a 1920s double, insuring a house the carrier has questions about, or just wanting to know what is behind the plaster - a residential electrical inspection tells you what the system is, what is wrong with it, and what it would take to fix.

Standby Generator Installation

When lake-effect wind takes the power down in January, the furnace, the sump pump and the refrigerator stop with it. A properly sized standby generator with an automatic transfer switch keeps them running without anyone touching a cord.

EV Charger Installation

A Level 2 home charger is a dedicated 240-volt circuit, and in a Buffalo house that circuit has to reach from a panel that may be full to a garage that may be detached and a hundred feet from the house. We plan the route, check the capacity and install it to code.
